The Acclaimed Compass Knight 50 3D - 8mm Spindle Version
Also, an affordable model, the Knight 3D is supplied with metal upgrades in the right places to provide an extremely capable, accurate and durable machine and with plastic in places that benefit from some minor flexibility, like the blade grips for example. This is where Compass got the balance right.  Other features include G10 mainframes and tail fins - light but strong with strategically placed support posts providing a very rigid chassis. A small secondary outer frame is used around the pinion block, lower main shaft and engine mounting area to further enhance frame rigidity. Furthermore, a 120 deg CCPM control system with fully ball raced control arms and shared shaft layout provide a solid base for accurate and crisp control.
The kit comes as an almost ready to fly machine (ARTF), with pre-built main frame, head and tail assembly. Users are thus left to choose their preferred main blades, engine, muffler and radio equipment.
The ability to compete and out-fly machines considerably more expensive added with low cost parts support is what has made this a formidable competitor in the market place. The Compass Knight 50 3D - Quality you can afford. |
The Knight 50 3D was designed specifically with the 3D pilot in mind although a configurable rotor head enables the user to adjust the flight characteristics anywhere from an extreme 3D machine down to a docile and stable machine suitable for beginners.
For added vibration control the Knight 50 3D comes with a rubber bushed engine mount and crankcase support. This is a first for an RC helicopter.
